I am sure my memories of visiting with Philip are similar to most other regulars. However, my intro might be different. When I was 12 years old I visited my dad in Philly. I was living in Taos, NM at the time. I had to do a school video project and decided to do it on Philly. My stops included the Rocky statue, art museum steps, and South Philly (Passyunk Ave.). First stop was Philp's. I've been going back since then. I'm 38 now. Philip will be sorely missed but my memories of him and the deli will always live on.

Mr. Mancuso - I always loved visiting him, the easy going caring personality behind the counter - generous and big hearted. My heart is very heavy. May Mrs. Mancuso and the men in the family support one another in this time of acute loss.

Sincerely, Charles Auspitz

We were so sorry to hear if Phil's passing. Every Saturday, we went to his shop to purchase and enjoy his delicious Mozarella cheese! We were always greeted by his wonderful smile and a twinkle in his eyes! We will miss him dearly and send our love to Etta aand family. Peter and Patti, your faithful Saturday customers.
