The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Ernest Spano can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolences

Condolence From: Janet Alvarez
Condolence: Your mark in musical history will forever be there for all who love the music of the 50s generation. We will never forget the hours and hours of fun we had and the laughter enjoyed by me, King and you. The thousands of hours of music we listened and sang to, the days of WNJC radio, our basement and our studio. The shows and public appearances you did with not only the 4Js, but also in the very beginning of Ernie and The Halos and the 4 Dates were loved by not only all your fans from South Philly, but still today in the history of rock and roll music all over the world. Our studio is full of memories of the playlist logs you entered of the songs played every week on the radio by King Arthur. The many cds we made of our personal collections to share with everybody. Countless memories of you with not only our musical family, but of our personal families. You were always a gentle soul. We will always remember you and, of course, your music will be played as long as King and I are alive.
May you rest in peace in the arms of Our Lord.....
