Eileen Batson-Hodges (nee Akal) passed away on August 18, 2021at the age of 86. Loving mother of Nadia (Allen), Nicholas (Cindy), Tamara, Tamikio, and Jameel; Grandmother of Ramish (Liz), Tatiana (Scott), Nyronn, Sumintra, Nicholas Chase (Alexandra), Rosalind, Makala, Christian, Avery (Ashli), Josh, Nicole, Olivia, Spencer, Malcolm, and Angela; Great grandmother of Nevaeh, Lila, Elona, Jaloni, Andrew, Oliver, Atasha, Aliyah, Kayleigh, Laural, Elijah and William; Loving aunt to many.
Sister to Merle, preceded in death by siblings Irwin, Carlton, Elva, Wilton, William “Bill”, and Winston.
Her family will greet relatives and friends on SATURDAY, AUGUST 28th from 12:00pm to 2:00pm at The PENNSYLVANIA BURIAL CO., INC., 1327-29 S. Broad St. Philadelphia, PA 19147. Please wear a mask to the gathering per city guidelines. Instead of flowers, the family is requesting that you donate in her name to the American Heart Association.
