Condolence From: James Planamente, Class of 1969
Condolence: Dear family of the late Dorothea Giannettassio, I am so very sorry for your loss. Ms. G. was my English teacher while I was at South Philadelphia High School and to say that she was the best teacher is a gross understatement! She had a personal interest in each and every student and had a unique method of teaching. Her class was such an enjoyable experience. She saw me standing on Broad Street, waiting for a bus in my freshman year at Temple University and was interested in one thing: if her teaching helped me with my transition from high school to college. Of course my response was, "Yes - Yes - Yes!" I will forever remember such a magnificent woman; one who added so much to my life's experiences. Ms. G. definitely had a role in making me the person who I am today. God Bless you and may you rest in eternal peace, Miss Giannettassio.
