It is with extreme sadness that we announce the untimely passing of Caitlin Elizabeth O’Showy. A dedicated mother, sister and friend to many, she passed away in Philadelphia, PA on October 13, 2022 after complications from an infection following a recent brain surgery. She was 35 years old.

Caitlin was born on December 23, 1986 to Pamela Paulnock and Philip O’Showy in Ashland, PA. After Caitlin graduated from Central Dauphin High School in 2004, she moved to Florida and began studies at Daytona State College. Most recently, Caitlin worked as a dedicated office administrator for Cescaphe Event Group in Philadelphia.

Through the years, Caitlin enjoyed spending time with her family, working on her recovery, and making friends wherever she went. Cait was a stranger to no one and found great purpose sharing in the successes, joys, and challenges of those around her. Caitlin lived authentically and was wholeheartedly there for the people in her life. She was a bright spark in this world and will be deeply missed by many. She is survived by her eight year old daughter, Rosalyn Eddy and sister, Layla O’Showy.

A memorial service will be held at Philadelphia Burial Company on October 22, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to her GoFundMe as Caitlin’s family was unprepared for this sudden and tragic loss.
